Next Generation
Rail Supply Chain Connectivity Forum


This unique one-day forum is designed to connect capable and interested traditional and non-traditional rail suppliers with OEMs who will build the Next Generation of passenger railcars and locomotives. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) recently formed a partnership to leverage agency capabilities to ensure the development of a 100% domestic supply base to support the Next Generation passenger railcars and locomotives.


Purpose of the Event:

  • Bring large car builders and OEMs together with smaller manufacturers interested in entering this market for growth opportunities
  • Provide information on the requirements
  • Meet one-on-one with OEMs and car builders
  • Receive Information on electronics, transmissions,speciality castings and forgings
  • Take part in panel discussions from other suppliers

  • U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), CALTRANS and local economic development agencies
  • Railcar builders and associated OEMs
  • The Department of Commerce and NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) organizations represented by CMTC and MANEX
